From rural corn fields near my home, to the marshes on Seabrook Island, South Carolina (our family favorite vacation spot), I am spiritually moved by this beauty. You can hear the crunch of the snow under your feet in this painting! I love the silence of nature during a snowy treck.

Something about mountains touch me at my core! Add water and it is magic! I just wanted to bring that feeling of being part of something bigger into my home. Don't you?

On a painting retreat to France, I was stopped in my tracks by the dappled sunlight cast across a window in the garden. It creates a delightful atmosphere for a cup of tea! For me, it reminded me of the days' end and the approaching time to return home. Oh so beautiful time can be!

A spring trip to the Rocky Mountains inspired this painting. Water is an amazing, transformative, powerful thing!

Have you ever driven quickly past fall leaves and admired the smell of leaves and burst of color in your face? That is exactly what this is. On a ride down the Blue Ridge Parkway, while my husband drove, I snapped photos of the colors speeding by. Simply a fleeting emotion, a passing moment and a snapshot of the season!

Traveling to New Zealand to discover the mountains in sunlight at dusk and a rising fog was once in a lifetime experience! The sun cast reminds me of a close of another day and a new beginning tomorrow.

Painted intuitively, this colorful fall leaves emerged from paint dabs and an active, dancing waterfall sprung free.

A glass of wine and a sunset settled my the soul one night while soaking in this delightful orange cloud-filled mountain sky!

Exploring back roads bring excitement and new discoveries. This one happened to be in Southern France!

Upon a hike in the golden hour, it was pleasant to stop and study the beauty of weeds. It made me think of how every one and thing has beauty in it.

Captivated by light, pulled by a memory, or in awe over natural beauty, I am driven to create!
My still life's are about many things —from memories of fishing with my Dad, to admiring the solemn light of the day, or discovering the natural beauty of an acorn. It's all about my soul finding solace, joy, and admiration in the simple moments in life and the things around me.

ANIMALS

Hoot! Swing! Waddle! Who doesn't love animals? They offer us a world of true wonder we don't truly understand and often times don't cherish enough. My kids and I went to the Cincinnati Zoo often and were mesmerized by the actions and sounds of the animals in the morning. What a delight to hear the howls and see the swings of the mammals. My art tries to capture the liveliness and character of the animals I observe.
